Kezia is a native of Tallahassee, FL, and a former women’s basketball player and graduate of Appalachian State University. She received her master’s degree in Recreation and Sport Sciences from Ohio University and has been coaching basketball at various levels for over fifteen years. Kezia has a passion for helping athletes to recognize their purpose in life stretches far beyond the athletic realm. She wants to use her platform to share her experiences and insight, as well as to motivate athletes to have a plan for life after sports, which prompted her to write Go Beyond: Intimate perspectives from former athletes on how to win at life, Go Beyond Part 2, The Next Play),

She's battled three knee surgeries, uncertainty navigating life after sports, long-distance marriage and the loss of both parents-yet continued to step forward when quitting felt easier.
